Care & Maintenance for Commercial Indoor Furniture
Care and maintenance is essential so that you can make the most out of your commercial indoor furniture investment. Below are some top tips so that you can properly look after your new furniture.
High-Pressure Laminate Furniture
High-pressure laminate is a durable yet low-maintenance material. Our popular Gabion and Discovery range dining tables and benches are made with high-pressure laminate tops.
This material is easy to keep clean as it is suitable for most common disinfectant sprays. A frequent wipe-down with a cloth should be enough to keep it clean, however, warm soapy water can also be used.
You may need to occasionally tighten any nuts and bolts on the benches to keep them secure and suitable for high-frequency use within your commercial setting.
Wooden Furniture
We offer a vast range of wooden indoor tables and chairs that have been lacquered for protection and easy cleaning. This treatment makes the furniture suitable for high-frequency use within a busy commercial setting. The lacquered wood is not suitable for harsh cleaning chemicals. We recommend cleaning the wooden furniture regularly with a damp cloth.
If your wooden furniture needs a deeper clean you can use a mild anti-bacterial soap and warm water with a soft cloth. This will help to disinfect your furniture and remove any food or drink marks without causing any damage to the furniture.
Fixtures should be periodically tightened to keep your furniture secure and suitable for use.
Powder-Coated Aluminium Furniture
Powder-coated aluminum is incredibly durable and ideal for busy hospitality settings. It is ideal for busy cafes and country pubs welcoming guests with muddy shoes as it is low maintenance and really easy to clean.
You can clean your powder-coated aluminium furniture with a mild disinfectant and a microfibre cloth or sponge.
Upholstered Furniture
Upholstered furniture requires slightly more maintenance and cleaning so that it lasts and looks great. We offer a range of upholstery options from faux leather to soft velour.
Faux leather- Avoid putting hot plates, bowls, or cups on the fabric as it can leave ring marks. If something is spilled clean it straight away with a damp microfibre cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals and abrasive materials such as scouring pads as it will damage the material.
Velour- Avoid putting hot plates, bowls, or cups on the fabric as it can leave ring marks. Brush off crumbs and vacuum regularly. If any spillages occur clean immediately by dampening a cloth with lukewarm water and gently blot to remove the spillage. Do not rub as this can make the stain worse.
Fabric- Avoid putting hot plates, bowls, or cups on the fabric as it can leave ring marks. Brush off crumbs and vacuum regularly. Remove spillages with a dry absorbent cloth. For larger spillages dampen a cloth with warm, soapy water.
